Fritters
1 cup of all purpose flour
1/4 cup of Sugar
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/3 cup of milk
1 egg
1 cup chopped apples
Glaze
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons milk
1/2 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Combine
all the dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in milk and egg until
combined. Fold in the apples. Pour oil into a skillet so it is about 1
1/2 inches deep and heat on high. Oil is ready when they float to the
top. My skillet only let me put about 1 inch but they were fine.
Carefully add dough to the oil in heaping teaspoons. Cook until brown
which will be about 2 minutes, then flip. Cook another 1 to 2 minutes,
until both sides are browned. Transfer to paper towel for excess oil and
then put on a cooling rack. Make glaze by mixing ingredients in a bowl
until smooth and drizzle over the Apple Fritters. Wait about 3 minutes
for the glaze to dry then flip over and do the other side. Best served
warm.
