Crock Pot Pot Roast

Makes: 4-6 servings Total Time: 8 hr

what you need
  • 3 pound eye of round roast
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Steak seasoning
  • 2 packages homestyle gravy mix
  • 1 package ranch dressing mix
  • 1 package Italian dressing mix
  • 3 or 4 cups water (see instructions)
  • 1 cup red wine (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. minced garlic
make it
Brush top, sides and bottom of roast with olive oil (use more if desired). Sprinkle all sides with salt, pepper and steak seasoning. Place in crock-pot.

In a large cup or bowl, mix gravy mix, and dressings with 3 cups water and 1 cup wine, or 4 cups water. Stir until combined and smooth. Pour into crock-pot.

Cook 8 hours on low, or until desired doneness.
It's even better the next day - which is why you should make extra and then create a stew, cutting the leftover roast into 2 inch pieces, adding cut up potatoes and veggies of your choice. If needed, make more gravy using 1 package of homestyle gravy mix. Heat in large skillet on the stove, about 15-20 minutes.
